The Oregon Undergraduate Research Journal (OURJ) is an open access, undergraduate research journal at the University of Oregon. It showcases some of the best research and publications by UO undergraduate students across all disciplines. OURJ is edited and produced by an undergraduate student editorial board, comprised of individuals with rich writing, editing, and research experience and who are passionate about the publication of undergraduate work.
OURJ was founded in 2010 as a means for undergraduate students to publish and celebrate their research and creative work, whether accomplished as part of upper-division coursework, an honors thesis, or performance/display. OURJ publishes the best of the student submissions we receive, with an eye toward publishing pieces that adequately communicate their significance to readers of all disciplines. We also feature student art on the cover of each issue.
